If your system has a short somewhere in the low voltage wire and it will not turn off, you can use this RFX kit to solve your problem. Disconnect the low voltage wire at the unit and install the receiver. The FOB transmitter you can keep with your central vacuum hose and it will turn the unit on and off wirelessly.

Another application is if you have old style inlets that turn on when the inlet is opened or when the hose is plugged in. This wireless kit can be used with this type of system to allow you to turn your central vacuum on and off at your fingertips.
